DONKEY DERBY 2012

The Group's 41st Annual Donkey Derby will take place on MASTER PARK in Oxted on Saturday 12th June. This is the primary fund-raising event of the Scouting year at the 1st Oxted, and is special this year because of our anniversary.

Scouts and parents are welcome to assist on the day by either running a stall or other practical work such as pitching and striking tents. Scouts who assist on the day will be contributing to their Community Challenge badge which in turn could be contributing to the Chief Scout's Challenge!

The Donkey Derby, like al the events the Group holds, cannot take place without parental support and assistance. As well as being an important date in the Oxted social calendar, it is a vital fund-raising event for the Scout Group, without which the youth activities conducted by the Group would be much the poorer, and subscriptions would have to be increased.
