A Meaty Story
The 1st Oxted Scout Groups’ annual week long cub camp took place on the Isle of Wight in August this year and the 11 youngsters attending did not go hungry thanks to a generous donation by the Flower Farm Shop in Godstone. Bob the Butcher prepared some of his best BBQ meats comprising of burgers made from home reared beef and homemade sausages for the children, aged from 8 to 11 years, who enjoyed their feast with Flower Farm corn-on-the-cob and some free-range eggs, all washed down with some freshly made apple juice. The lucky cubs were transported in style thanks to the generosity of Sixt Car Hire who kindly gave a reduction on a 16 seater bus.
