Dear parents, If your son or daughter is named above, you have already paid the Group a deposit for your son or daughters attendance at the "Tons o fun" Centenary camp run by Surrey County, to be held at Blacklands Farm near East Grinstead, from afternoon of Friday 25th May to Sunday 27th May. PLEASE NOTE the CHANGED ENDING TIME of the camp. Owing to a booking miscalculation between the camp provider and the County, we can no longer offer the Scouts a three day camp lasting until Monday 28th May (the Spring Bank holiday). Further details on transportation and timing I will provide when I have thought them up - nearer the time. Please would you bring or send a cheque for the remainder of the balance required on the first Monday of the new Scout term, Monday 16th April, or drop it in to my house 32 Gordons Way before that time. The Group will need to pay for this camp "up-front" before this money comes in from parents; the total payable is nearly a thousand pounds when Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and leaders are all taken into account. The total cost of the camp was to be £42.50. Therefore, since all of you with one exception have paid a deposit of £12.50 (one family has paid a deposit of £10), I need to receive cheques from most of you for £30, payable to "1st Oxted Scouts" with your son or daughters name and "Tons o' fun" written on the reverse. Any questions, please contact me by phone over the Easter period - 01883 371935. I look forward to receiving cheques from you all before or on the 16th April when Scouts recommences. What I will also do is start a page on the 1st Oxted Scout website which will have Tons o fun details on it, The page will be www.1stoxtedscouts.com/tonsofun.htm Regards Nick Hough
