Our first half term since starting back is complete! It has been a busy half term for all the Oxted and Hurst Green sections. Thank you to all the youngsters for their energy and the leaders/helpers who have planned and run the amazing evenings.
The scouts have been conquering their fear in abseiling and climbing in Banstead. As well as making delicious pizza’s outside at Frylands. On top of this they recently visited a motor and mechanics museum, the youngsters learnt a lot and had a lot of fun at the same time!
Meanwhile, the Beavers have been just as busy playing games in the park and making Poppy’s ready for Remembrance day.
The Cubs took part in the annual chip shop challenge to discover where to get the best chips in Oxted. As well as lots of other things like pizza making on open fires, town monopoly, night hikes and practising some firefighting skills.
Not to forget the young leaders who took part in the Surrey Young Leader symposium, it was great to see so many of you there.
